Running from May 14-22, Mystery at Shady Acres will transport the audience to the English countryside to find the thief of a priceless necklace.
Co-director Toby McKenzie said reigniting the local theatre scene after the pandemic has been vital for the amateur theatre company.
"Given the eventual cancellation of Little Shop of Horrors, we were keen to get something off the ground," he said.
"We would love the community to get behind our show and put a table together to enjoy a great night of local entertainment."
Featuring 18 strong cast members and crew from Camperdown, Cobden, Timboon and Warrnambool , the mystery comedy will run for six shows with audiences able to book tables and bring nibbles and purchase drinks throughout the production.
Co-director Jo Van Leerdam said rehearsals had been a fantastic way to reconnect with the company.
"We've had great fun rehearsing and it's shaping up to be a fabulous show," she said. "I'm so impressed with the job everyone is doing.
"The cast make a great team."
Mystery at Shady Acres opens on May 14 at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.
Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased from Laffs, 163 Manifold St, Camperdown, by phoning 5593 1469 or online at camperdowntheatrecompany.com.au.
