Warrnambool was hit by a sudden storm on Monday afternoon with the city's State Emergency Service receiving eight calls in a three-hour period.

The calls were for fallen trees and damaged buildings, with areas affected including Warrnambool, Merrivale, Mepunga and Bushfield.
The callouts occurred between 5pm and 8pm.
Warrnambool SES unit controller Giorgio Palmeri said trees came down over roads with no major disruptions but traffic was moved into one lane.
He said one building was damaged after a garden shed became caught in the wind.
Another property suffered roof damage.
Warrnambool saw 2.2mm of rain on Monday with peak wind gusts reaching 78km/h at 4.40pm.
Temperatures dropped to a low of 10.8 degrees and a top of 16.8.
There is a 50 per cent chance of showers on Tuesday most likely in the late morning and afternoon.
Winds southerly 25 to 35 km/h turning south-easterly 20 to 30 km/h in the early afternoon.
Daytime maximum temperatures between 11 and 14.
