Southwest Healthcare COVID coordinator Sue Anderton said that since mid March 3800 people had been vaccinated locally.
Warrnambool's open access centre started operations on Monday at the Timor Street venue, which was previously Sam's Warehouse.
Ms Anderton said the centre was now opened weekdays for walk-ins and bookings from 9am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm until 4.30pm.
There is potential for the centre opening hours to expand to evenings and weekends in future.
She said that last week there was to be 500 vaccinations available but that number jumped to 1000 and all the doses were used.
The coordinator said that currently there were about 400 vaccinations being administered daily.
The centre is staffed by about 15 people each day from a pool of about 30 staff.
Ms Anderton said there was a doctor onsite at all times in case anyone had an issue, but so far it has been smooth sailing.
She said some people had questions about the AstraZeneca vaccinations and possible side effects.
"It's a very easy and safe procedure to have done," she said.
"There is a lot of vaccine hesitancy still. Our demand has been constant and we are happy with the result we are getting for our community. It seems our community is keen to be vaccinated."
The AstraZeneca vaccination is currently available to people aged over 50 years old.
Ms Anderton said until now there had been restrictions on supply.
"We are happy to address anyone's concerns," she said.
"Some people want to be reassured, but the risk is really low and we explain the symptoms to look out for. People want that information."
Ms Anderton said it was pleasing that people who had the vaccination had either called or returned to tell staff the process was easy.
The coordinator said she expected to kept busy as more vaccinations became available, particularly when the Pfizer vaccination is ready for people aged under 50 years old.
"We are really happy with how it's going and the result we are getting. It seems our community is happy to be vaccinated," Ms Anderton said.
People have to receive a second dose of the AstraZeneca 12 weeks after their first dose.
The Warrnambool centre is catering for the south-west, from Colac to the South Australia border.
