A 40-year-old Warrnambool man has been charged with aggravated carjacking after an incident in Warrnambool early last week.

Dominic Kelly, 40, appeared in a Geelong court mid last week and was remanded in custody charged with a series of offences.
The owner of a silver BMW reported his car stolen last Monday morning.
The vehicle was early Monday morning involved in an incident in which the driver allegedly evaded police before a petrol drive-off at a Warrnambool service station about lunchtime Monday.
Police claim the charged man held a box-cutter blade to the throat of the vehicle owner before stealing the BMW.
Information about the offences was forwarded to the police Western Region crime squad based in Geelong.
The crime squad was able to locate the stolen vehicle and Mr Kelly in Norlane, where he was arrested, interviewed, charged and presented to court.
If Mr Kelly was found guilty of aggravated carjacking it's understood he would face a mandatory jail sentence of three years.
