SYMON WILDE
Saddles up three runners CALIBURN, LITERATI and SKYWAY STAR in race five on the program.
"I think Caliburn may need this run before he's at his top. Literati will appreciate the soft going and has a chance in a very even race. Skyway Star has drawn a wide barrier and that will not help her chances."
GOLD MEDALS lines up for another run in the Waterfront By Lyndoch Living Grand Annual Steeplechase which is race seven on the program.
"He's in very good shape leading into the Annual. Gold Medals has had a trouble-free preparation. We couldn't get him any fitter. Luck plays a big part in any race but you need more in a Grand Annual. If he gets that luck he'll be competitive."
AMMOUDI BAY is in race eight on the card.
"I thought he won well last time at Terang. He's not the roughest here and could be a good place chance."
HARD 'N' TOUGH is Wilde's runner in the Sungold Milk Warrnambool Cup.
"She deserves to have a crack at the Warrnambool Cup after wins in the Stawell and Colac cups. She's trained on well and I'm expecting she'll run well at nice odds."
The carnival winds up for Wilde with O'REILLY McLUKE running in the final race on the card.
"He's had two starts at Warrnambool for two wins. He'll appreciate a heavy track if we have that on Thursday."
LINDSEY SMITH
His stable has LIDO BEACH and DOUBLE BUBBLE in race three.
"Lido Beach was disappointing first-up. I'm hoping he'll run better here. Wet ground is in his favour while Double Bubble has her first start for us. She likes soft ground and does have some handy Perth in her form."
BEL MY PAGO takes her place in a fillies and mares race over 1400 metres.
"This looks a tough test on paper but in her favour she goes well on soft ground."
NO SAY IN IT and ROYAL PERFORMANCE are Smith's runners in race six on the card.
"No Say In It was not suited by the tight track at Warracknabeal last time. He'll be more at home here on the bigger track while Royal Performance has been slow from the barriers in his last couple of runs. We think we've fixed that problem."
ADELAIDE ACE is Smith's runner in race eight over 1400 metres.
"He's just coming back from a wind operation. We'll just wait and see how he performs."
Smith's Sungold Milk Warrnambool Cup runner is DABIYR.
"He's been out of form. There are a few others in this going better then him."
YARRA BOY is Smith's runner in the last race on the card.
"His run last time was probably disappointing but if you go back to his maiden victory... He's got to be a chance in this."
