The guard drew praise from coach Alex Gynes for his offensive game in his first hit-out this Big V season.
But the 29-year-old isn't there for accolades or even aspiring to get much court time.

He's just keen to help out where he can and to assist with the development of the Seahawks' promising youngsters.
"It's been good to just get back on the court, I didn't have any intentions of really playing this year, just to help wherever needed and on the weekend that was on the court," he said.
"Just happy to do anything off the court and on the court to help."
Friendships drew him back to the Seahawks.
"I decided to come back to help (coach) Alex (Gynes) and come and play with BJ Steere who is a friend of mine," he said.
"Just to have a couple of years back in it after a few years off."
Symons has been playing basketball with Steere since under 12s.
He's glad he decided to have another go at the sport among long-time mates.
"It's been good just to spend some time out of the house or not at work to do something different," he said.
"It's a relief to come to training and spend some time with them, where I haven't over the past six or seven years."
Symons said he didn't play much basketball during his time away from the Seahawks.
But he was never far from the game, having plenty to do with Koroit junior basketball.
Helping others play at the highest level they can, is something he's passionate about.
He wants to see players progress whether that's for another team in Australia or overseas.
"That's what really drives me to come and see those guy do other things," he said.
"Try and take their opportunity while it's there."
He has been excited to see the development of the Seahawks' youngsters, including Malakye Cunningham, Riley Nicolson and Ben Walters.
"I spend a lot of time with Malakye (Cunningham) before trainings just practicing his shooting," he said.
"Riley Nicolson I've been really impressed with."
