Symon Wilde
COTTON EYE JOE resumes in the opening race on the 10-event program.
"I'll make a decision if Cotton Eye Joe runs on Wednesday morning. I'll keep a close eye on the weather conditions before I make a final decision."
AMERICAN IN PARIS lines up in race four the Dunroe Steeplechase.
"He's trialled up really well for this race. I think he's got a bright career in front of him as a steeplechaser. I'm expecting him to run well."
DINGA and McKEEVER are both nominated for Warrnambool on Tuesday and Wilde accepted with them in a 1000-metre race on Wednesday.
"Dinga and McKeever both drew wide on Tuesday. We'll just be guided by the weather regarding what days that run."
BRITANNICUS runs in race six the Galleywood Hurdle.
"He was a good winner in the Harry D Young Hurdle at Oakbank. His last effort to run second behind Flying Agent was good. Flying Agent's not a bad type of horse. Britannicus's hopes will be helped of the track is not good heavy."
PRINTMAKER makes a return from a spell in race seven.
"I think he'll need this run but he does appreciate a bit of give in the track."
JUST HIFALUTIN and INN KEEPER are Wilde's representatives in the Wangoom Handicap.
"Just Hifalutin has improved on the back of her first-up run. She's got good second-up form. I would not be surprised if she ran a big race in this. Inn Keeper has earnt his spot. He ran third in this race last year at good odds. He's first-up win at Terang was good and he's improved off that effort."
GLASSEY MISS runs in race 10 for Wilde.
"She's had feet problems but we appear to be over them. I'm very happy with how she's going and I think she's probably the best of my lot for Wednesday."
Lindsey Smith
The day opens for the local trainer with TINTINWIN in the first race on the program.
"He resumes here. He's trialled up very well and I think he'll be competitive going on his track work."
CONTINUANCE resumes in race five for Smith.
"He's jumped out well. He likes soft ground but I think McKeever shows a bit of promise for Symon Wilde. If he takes his place in the field, he'll be hard to beat."
NATIONAL GUARD is chasing his third consecutive victory in a restricted race over 1700 metres.
"National Guard is going well. I'm sure he's up to mid-week company in town. He's got a bit of ability. I think he should run well."
GREAT AGAIN, REYKJAVIK, RIDING THE WAVE and EPIC GREY are Smith's runners in the Wangoom Handicap.
"Great Again has a tricky barrier draw. He should go forward from that gate. The wetter the better for him. Reykjavik will be ridden cold from the barrier. He should be getting home strong. Riding The Wave resumes he's been working well. I'm expecting him to be finishing the race off strongly over the concluding stages. Epic Grey may find a few of these just a bit too good."
IRISH ROCKSTAR and SOVEREIGN GOLD line up in nine race.
"Irish Rockstar is an on-pacer. He should go forward and will be competitive while Sovereign Gold jumps in class from a maiden win at Terang. He likes in wet."
CORNER POCKET is Smith's last runner in race 10.
"He's got a bit of ability. He's got good form. I'm a bit worried about the going. We'll just have to wait and see how wet the track is at this stage of the day. The wide barrier is also a bit of a concern."
