EXHIBITION: The Warrnambool and District Artists Society exhibition is now showing at the Merri View Gallery until June 20. The gallery is open 12pm-4pm on weekends.
TREES: South West Printmakers explore the theme of trees in their fifth exhibition at The F Project. The show will run until May 23 and the gallery is open Wednesday-Sunday 10am-4pm. A launch of the exhibition begins at 6pm tonight.
KOROIT IRISH FESTIVAL: The Opening Night Concert from 7.45pm and will feature an Irish Singalong with Bhan Tre, special guests from Melbourne's Rose of Tralee, Pete's Famous Irish Quiz and a tribute to Koroit Irish Festival legend, the late Frank "Tuddy" Bowman. Live music will be performed at Izzy's Restaurant, Mickey Bourke's Koroit Hotel and the Commercial Hotel. The festival is a ticketed sold-out event.
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA: Port Fairy Spring Music Festival will welcome Josh Piterman to the Autumn Gala at the Reardon Theatre from 7.30pm. The Phantom of the Opera star will be accompanied by festival co-artistic director Stefan Cassomenos at the piano, with guest appearances by stellar singers Leah Oswin and Anna-Lee Robertson, and the Autumn Gala Male Choir. VR FILM: A virtual reality film 'The Crossing' tells the story of Uncle Rob Lowe's life. Directed by Will King, the film will be launched at Deakin University at 5.30pm.
EDUCATION: MAD for the Merri has organised a string of information sessions about platypus entanglements based on the research paper by the Australian Platypus Conservancy. The sessions will be held at Warrnambool Civic Centre reception room on Friday at 6pm, the Hamilton Institute of Rural Learning in Saturday at 1.45pm and the Timboon Golf Club on Sunday at 1.45pm. MELBOURNE TO WARRNAMBOOL: More than 200 riders, including a 13-strong women's field, will tackle the 267-kilometre race from Avalon Airport to Warrnambool's Raglan Parade. The last 100 kilometres of the race would also be streamed live on the big screen at the race's finish on Raglan Parade in the afternoon.
FESTIVAL: Sydney-based DJ, singer and producer KLP is the headline act's for Raglan Presents new winter event. The day festival will be held at Rafferty's Tavern and feature a 360 degree dance space from 5pm.
EXHIBITION: Vipoo Srivilasa's new collaborative exhibition Re/JOY shows intricately 'repaired' damaged ceramics donated by members the south-west community. The Warrnambool Art Gallery's exhibition opens with an artist floor talk on Saturday from10.30am and a workshop from 11.30am. MARKET: Warrnambool showgrounds will hold its weekly undercover market from 8am to 1pm.
KOROIT IRISH FESTIVAL: Today's event features the Koroit Irish Festival Mass, Koroit Gaelic Games Carnival, traditional Irish, Big Brekkie and the Last Laugh. The festival is a ticketed sold-out event.
Monday
LEARNING: Warrnambool's University of the Third Age is hosting a tutorial with Fay Armstrong discussing electoral systems. The tutorial will take place at 10.30am in the Hammond Centre on Henna Street. For more information contact Peter Dexter on 0417 431 277.
BEEKEEPING: The beekeeping club meets every Monday at the Jim Robinson Shearing Pavilion at the Warrnambool Showgrounds at 7pm.
CREATIONS: Molly Melican has joined the team at One Day Studios for an after school class on character creations using a range of materials. Every Monday during school terms Molly will help students aged from 7-11 with the character building. Bookings are available via the One Day Studios website.

MAY RACES: The first day of racing features the 3YB FM Scotty Stewart Brierly Steeplechase (3450 metres) and the iconic Ladies Luncheon.
Wednesday
MARKET: The Warrnambool Community Gardens' market returns from 3.30pm to 6.30pm with stalls of fresh fruit and vegetables, seedlings and plants from within 150 kilometres of the city. There will also be live music from Bruce Campbell and Friends.
MAY RACES: Day two features the Sovereign Resort Galleywood Hurdle (3200 metres) and the Midfield Meats Wangoom Handicap (1200 metres).
