Saints captain Liam Hoy, Taylor Mckenry, Ben Dobson, Jayden Whitehead, Dylan McCutcheon are just some of the names.
Despite the absences, Koroit rose to thump Cobden at Bomberland by 128 points on Saturday.
McLaren said the chance add players to an already flying side was an exciting prospect.
"We feel like we're in a good position and to have five or six who could still come in to our best team (is good)," he said.
He said Cobden - who led at quarter time - controlled the match early but felt Koroit was able to "shift the tone of the game". "They played it probably how they'd like to play so it was a bit of a balancing act to shift it to our terms," he said.
"Our boys were able to rectify that towards the end of the first quarter and then we were able to get the game on our terms."
The Saints' win was their second-consecutive 100-point rout after they dismantled Terang Mortlake by 140 points in round two.

The result helped McLaren's side extend its unbeaten run to four games as it prepares for a two-week spell.
"We'll use one week as a freshen up, we'll probably do one session and the other week will be the opposite. We'll have a harder week," he said.
"After the bye I think Jayden Whitehead has one more week of suspension to serve, Ben Dobson has been training for a while now and is getting really close, (Hoy), McCutcheon and Mckenry have all been injured so those three will probably have a hard two weeks to try to get a bit fit and there will probably be boys that need to back off a touch and just freshen up."
