NV netball participation coordinator Maddie Okely said spots were still available and people could register online or rock up on the day.
There are two sessions on offer 'Umpires in the field: Your decision counts' from 10am-12pm and 'Umpires in the field: Mentor workshop' from 1pm-3pm. Each session is $35.

The sessions will be run by NV general manger for participation Mel Taylor who has been presenting the sessions for years.
Okely said it was a great opportunity for umpires given there was next to no netball played in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"After having a year off, we're all a bit rusty so it doesn't hurt to refresh and we want to make sure the opportunities are available in our regional towns as well," she said.
Okely explained 'Your decision counts' was useful for helping umpires distinguish between contact and contesting.
Obstruction and advantage, bio-mechanics, and how positioning and vision effect decision-making are other topics covered.
It's recommended for umpires with a C badge accreditation working towards their B badge, or umpires with a B badge accreditation.
Okely noted the mentor workshop helped with "what to teach and when to teach it".
The focus is on helping participants mentor beginner umpires.
NV was going to run two coaching workshops as well but Okely confirmed NV had not received enough registrations for those sessions to go ahead.
