Coach Mike McGorm said the wider basketball community would be hearing about Warragul's Olli Muir in the future.
He said the 10-year-old was "exceptional" and unlike any junior player he'd seen "in 35 years of coaching".
Warragul beat Warrnambool, which finished the tournament with an 8-1 win-loss record, in the Sunday's grand final in Bendigo 54-34.
Muir scored 24 points for the victors.
"I always said to this group it would take something pretty special to beat us and they had a young kid and he's the best 10-year-old I have ever seen," McGorm said.
"He was amazing. He would've had 20 points in every single game.

"We were doubling him, tripling him and at one stage it took five of us.
"This kid was next-level stuff and we just couldn't control it. No one could for the weekend.
"He was a league above everyone. He was like a 15-year-old playing against 10 year olds.
"He's only a little guy but I have never seen anything like what he was doing at that age. It was remarkable."

McGorm said his Seahawks tried hard to negate Muir's impact.
"We put a lot of work and effort into him and he still burnt us; it wasn't through a lack of trying," he said.
"I was proud of their effort but we were just beaten by something extraordinary.
"He was doing things a 10-year-old shouldn't be able to do athletically-wise and he's high on basketball IQ and skills.
"A couple of times on the bench I was clapping."
McGorm said his team would bounce back and players were already booking in extra training sessions.
"As I said to the group afterwards, you learn your biggest lessons from mistakes and losses. We can take a lot more out of this than they will," he said.
Nate Castle, Lewis Gommers, Blake Wood, Jack Griffiths, Kobe Steel, Josh Lilley, Roy Lucas, Billy Schrama, Harry McDonald, Gano Akoch and Oliver Marris represented Warrnambool.
