President Mark Taylor explained the association had great numbers at its most recent come and try in January 2020.
"Over the course of the day we had about 30 people and for us that was successful," he said.
The president noted it was an ideal amount as it allowed everyone to have a proper introduction to the game.

But the coronavirus pandemic meant there hasn't been such a session since.
Taylor said pandemic restrictions had eased to a point where WTTA was comfortable with newcomers coming to try the sport again.
The come and try, from 9.30am-3pm on Saturday, is at the table tennis stadium on Cramer Street.
It's free and all equipment will be provided on the day.
Taylor said the association hoped to see plenty of youngsters.
"We're very keen to get some juniors into the club because our junior program stopped completely last year (because of the pandemic)," he said.
The president added there was a Monday night pennant due to start on April 19 which people could still sign up for.
Monday night play is for teams of three and usually goes for three hours.
There is also casual hitting on Thursday night which could turn into a Thursday night pennant depending on numbers.
Thursday night play would be for teams of two and runs for about one-and-a-half hours.
Taylor emphasised all skill levels would be catered for.
He said the association was offering casual social hitting for free.
A regular social hitter will need to sign up for a Table Tennis Victoria membership.
