The federal government's $1.2 billion tourism stimulus package opened on April 1 and promoted domestic tourism across Australia with subsidised flights.
The package includes about 15 routes including The Whitsundays, Kangaroo Island, Lasseter and Broome. Tickets are to be available until July for travel until September.
Flight Centre Warrnambool manager Kylie Goodall said the travel agency had seen great results from the stimulus package as clients had made travel plans ahead of the launch.
"We booked a lot of accommodation and experiences in the lead up to April 1," she said. "So when the sales were announced, people were ready to book.
"It's been great, we've seen a lot of people book holidays to Queensland and the tropical north. Darwin and Hobart have also been popular.
We've definitely seen people starting to move and feel more confident to book, domestic travel is busy.

"I think any saving is a bonus and this package gives people a generous saving."
Virgin Airlines reported Melbourne to Gold Coast and Gold Coast to Sydney flights proved the most popular two routes on the first day of the federal government's travel incentive.
Under the stimulus package 800,000 discounted airline tickets are up for grabs as well as loans for struggling tourism operators.
National Warrnambool Travel manager Virginia Paton said her clientele were predominantly interested in international tourism and she hadn't seen great demand for the government's travel incentive.
"I'm finding a lot of people are booking domestic travels online themselves," she said.
"For us it's still quite slow as most of our market is international travel. But the New Zealand travel bubble opening is great for us.
"We've got a huge client base who are very loyal and keep coming back to support us."
