Begood Toya Mother failed to fire in his last campaign but Bowman has his fingers crossed the lightly raced galloper will improve in this preparation.
"I've been happy with Begood Toya Mother," he told The Standard.
"For one reason or another he lost form. He's usually led them up in his races but the instruction to his jockey Declan Bates will be to ride him off the pace and see if he can finish off the race.

"We've done a lot of work with him at home and on the training track just trying to get him to settle. It's different in a race so we'll just see how he goes on Saturday."
Capriccio, a stablemate of Begood Toya Mother lines up for her fifth start in a $135,000 three-year-old race and Bowman is confident she will run well at double figure odds.
"Capriccio has done nothing wrong in her career," he said.
"She's won two of four and her last win at Flemington in February was full of merit. She's trained on well from that win. I was happy with her track gallop at Camperdown last week.
"I'll be more then satisfied if she runs in the top four or five. We've got a couple of nice black type races on the agenda for her in Adelaide within the next few weeks."
Former Warrnambool apprentice jockey Daniel Moor has the ride on Capriccio.
Fellow south-west trainers Maddi Raymond, Symon Wilde, Patrick Ryan and Lindsey Smith have runners at Caulfield.
