Deputy Premier Peter Ryan cut the red ribbon alongside Regional Cities Minister Denis Napthine, Warrnambool mayor Jacinta Ermacora and Moyne deputy mayor James Purcell at the ceremony staged at the old Koroit train station.
The new trail extends along the old rail line which was closed down by the Hamer government in 1977 due to a lack of passengers.
