Dixon was proud the club's athletes put in a host of top performances in the heat of a playoff final.
"Everyone really stepped up and it was impressive to see," he said.
"We haven't been able to compete at Lakeside and for some it was their first time.
"For many of them there was a few nerves early in day but once they were on track or in the field and doing events everyone relished and lifted and put in outstanding performances.
"I was really impressed and pleased with how everyone went and to see people rapt with their performances it made for a great day."
Godber lead from the front to take the 1500m win in her race and broke through the six-minute barrier for the first time.
