Three people aged in their late teens to mid 20s have been transported to hospital after a single-car crash about 3am.

Warrnambool police Acting Sergeant Ben Timpson said a vehicle was travelling south on the Warrnambool-Penshurst Road near Hawkesdale overnight when the collision occurred at 3.10am
"The vehicle has failed to take the corner at the intersection with Woolsthorpe-Heywood Road and has gone off the road and into a tree," he said.
"The collision with the tree has caused the vehicle to spin around."

Acting Sergeant Timpson said two males and a female aged in their late teens to mid 20s from Hamilton were transported to Warrnambool Base Hospital with minor injuries and for observations.
Police noted the wet weather conditions at the time of crash.
Acting Sergeant Timpson urged motorists to slow down, drive to the conditions and to buckle up.
