The Murray to Moyne helps raise funds for hospitals and heath services across the country and also continue Graham "Woody" Woodrup's dream of getting people to realise the benefits of riding a bike.

The event has four different starting points at Mildura, Swan Hill, Echuca and Hamilton.

Teams from the south-west are all tackling the journey from the Murray River-based towns on March 27 and 28.

Bega Bunch, Klick Cycling and Let's Talk will ride from Echuca. Port Fairy 1A, Belfast Bikers and Timboon Cruisers will depart from Swan Hill.

Mildura will be the starting point for Warrnambool College, Casterton Memorial Hospital, Portland Whitelioners, South West TAFE Tailgators and Scrubbers and the Gasman.

The teams taking part in the cycling relay are all raising money for different health services across the district.

Greg Lemmons said the Bega Bunch, who have 10 members riding in their 10^th year in the event, are supporting Hawkesdale Critical Emergency Response Team.

Jon Watson said the 21 riders at Klick Cycling, who is taking part for the ninth time, are tackling the event to raise money for the Big Life Project.

Lets Talk's Carol Humphrys said their team of 16 are riding to support the south-west mental health service.

Port Fairy 1A and Belfast Bikers are throwing their support behind Moyne Health.

Warrnambool College and Scrubbers and the Gasman are supporting South West Healthcare.

Lester Campbell said Warrnambool College, who is participating for the 31^st time with a team of 11 riders, are raising money for the children's ward.

Timboon Cruisers are raising money for Timboon and District Health Service while Portland Whitelioners' George James said their team, which has been doing the event for more than 25 years, of nine riders are doing it for Portland District Health.

South West TAFE Tailgators' Michael Dean said the team of 14, including CEO Mark Fidge, was happy to be supporting Standing Tall for this year's edition.

Casterton District Hospital's Barb Toma said the long-time participants, who are doing their 27^th ride, are jumping on the bike for Casterton Memorial Hospital.

The teams all jump on the Murray to Moyne to contribute to the community but also because they enjoy the camaraderie associated with the event.
