The Cats are aiming to secure the association's final flag and their fourth in succession while the Buks are after their first premiership since 2009-10.
The GCA decided to pull up stumps after 75 years at the end of this season. Hawkesdale has already claimed the association's final twenty20 premiership.
The Cats, who also won the last minor premiership, booked their spot in the grand final with a six-wicket victory over Killarney.
The Buks ensured they would be playing in the final decider with a 31-run win over Grassmere.
Yambuk skipper Tyson Umbers was pleased and relived his side booked its spot in the decider.
"The mood around the room is pretty positive as we got out of jail there," he said.

"We had our backs against the wall at one point there. It wasn't looking great when we were 6-60 but we managed to scratch 50 more runs and then defend it."
Umbers, who took 3-12 in the bowling innings, said his side is eager to finish the club's final year in the competition on a high.
"It's a great honour (being one of the last grand finalists) and being the last year of Grassmere Cricket Association we want to write our name in the history book as the last club to win it," he said.
"We know Hawkesale are a good team, and they have been for a number years, so it is not going to be an easy challenge."
Umbers praised Hamish Gleeson (26) and Corey McKenzie (20) for their efforts in the first innings.
"They played a pivotal roll with the bat as the runs were hard to come by but they dug in and got themselves a few," he said.

Umbers also had praise for his fellow bowlers Christo Rook (four maidens, 0-8 from eight overs), Connor Umbers (0-20 from eight), Todd McLean (3-25 from 6.4) and Brian Wilson (0-7 from five).
"All the bowlers played their role well," he said. "They all bowled well, bowled tight lines and didn't give the batters much and when you bowl tight lines you can just set a field and it pays off."
Meanwhile, Hawkesdale's division two side claimed the last premiership in the association's second grade after defeating Yambuk by seven wickets.
The Cats lost the toss and were sent in to bat.
They restricted the Buks to 9-95 in their 40 overs. Brad Smith (3-15) and Peter Gordon (2-23) were the main wicket-takers.
Opener Darren Webb was named best on ground after making 38 not out in the run chase and conceding just nine runs from his four overs in the Cats bowling innings.
