The Warrnambool driver saluted at Premier Speedway's Sprintcar Showdown on Saturday night, defeating fellow south-west speedster Darren Mollenoyux and Albury flyer Grant Anderson in the A-main.
Veal is eyeing a Victorian Sprintcar Title - a race he won in November 2019 - when it returns to Premier Speedway in a fortnight among a swag of other events.
"It's good to be able to get five more nights in," he said.
To feel comfortable and confident (is great). It was one of those nights where it all fell together.

"It's a pretty short year but the best thing is we've still been able to get nine nights out of it.
"It's hard to travel anywhere else with the stuff that is going on (COVID-19 restrictions)."
The reigning Australian champion - affectionately known as 'The Real Deal' - said his team made alterations to his A1 car leading into the night.
Veal was delighted with the result.
"We kept out of trouble and we tried a few different things with the car. Obviously (James) McFadden beat us pretty comfortably last time so we've just been working on a few things," he said.
"We haven't raced a whole lot. It was just good to get back in the car.
"We've had a pretty good break. It's the longest I've been out of a car and the fewest amount of shows I've done.
