The safety of the Commercial Road crossing has been an ongoing discussion point and prompted a then-12-year-old student to start a petition to have flashing 40km/h speed signs installed in 2014.
Principal Marina Milich said safety was the highest priority in planning any changes to the crossing.
"My strong message is the priority is safety for everyone," she said. "Ideally, if we could minimise traffic on Commercial Road and provide a safety access on High Street I think we'd be able to cater for everyone.

"The current road works are a great way for us to evaluate what's happening and listen to the feedback from Susan (Hand) - our Lollypop Lady - our parents and VicRoads. We will consider all those viewpoints when we make a decision."
The works on Commercial Road started in October 2020 to replace a 650-metre section of Koroit's water main and are expected to be completed by March.
Ms Milich said there would be consultations with the school community before a permanent school crossing decision was made.
"We are in discussions for a proposal for a crossing and we will evaluate those discussions before we make the final proposal," she said.
"I think there's mixed emotions from parents about what crossing would be best - some families prefer the easy access to the front of the school but then there are families where the High Street access suits their needs.
"I will be advocating for two crossings to ideally cater for everyone."
