The Koroit Sheepdog Trials begin today at Victoria Park, with the final day of competition on Saturday.
Barry Paton, the event's founder, said while the trials usually run for six days, the shortened version in 2021 was still a triumph.
"We have had to scale back because people aren't keen to travel from interstate," Mr Paton said.
"But it's great to keep the event going for the Koroit community and the competitors."
