The 25-year-old man, who cannot be named because that could identify the victim, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday charged with persistently breaching a family violence intervention order and three counts of breaching the order.
In a self-represented bail application, he said he didn't really have any exceptional circumstances why he should be released from bail.
He said he had "good support outside and this isn't going to happen again".
Magistrate Ann McGarvie refused bail and remanded the man in custody until March 3.
The man was arrested at Hamilton's Commercial Hotel on Thursday after police allegedly located him inside a room with the victim despite a court order prohibiting him from remaining within 50 metres of her.
Police allege the victim attended Hamilton Base Hospital last week and was observed with multiple bruises.
She told staff she'd fallen down the stairs of the Commercial Hotel but they weren't convinced and the matter was reported to police.
The victim is 30 weeks pregnant.
The man was already on bail for smashing the victim's phone and brushing her leg with a hot pan on January 8, 2020.
The following day he allegedly spat on the victim's face, legs and chest multiple times before urinating on her clothes.
He is also accused of pushing and shoving the victim, using a knife to slash their couch and lifting a cricket bat above his head in a threatening manner while places his arms against her.
The man was arrested for that offending on January 9 last year and released on bail with strict family violence conditions.
Police allege he breached those conditions on February 18 and February 28 last year by attending at the victim's house.
One one occasion police attended, located broken glass on the floor and found the man hiding under a blanket.
