Cam Waters, the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship and Bathurst 1000 runner-up, will jump in a sprintcar for the second time after making his debut in Mildura on Sunday.
The 26-year-old, who races a Ford Mustang GT for Tickford Racing, joins two-time Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic champion James McFadden as recent entries for the 11th edition of the $10,000-to-win 360 spintcar race.
Simpson Speedway president Tim Rankin aid it was a massive boost for the club to have the duo in the field, which is approaching 40 cars.
"J-mac has raced here many years before and we had Tim Slade here a few years ago so we have had V8 supercars drivers here before but none of the calibre of Cam," he said.
"It's exciting to have him coming to this neck of the woods."
Rankin said the duo would be pushing towards the front of the field in the club's third meeting of the season.
"J-mac's going to be very good no matter what he does. What ever he jumps into he is very fast. He will be right up the front straight away," he said.

"Cam will go pretty good and but not sure how good as I haven't seen much of him in a sprintcar. I did see the post he put up with a practice but not racing stuff.
"From talking to others they have said he was very fast and I feel he is another driver who can jump into anything and be fast out of the blocks.
"I think he will be good on the night once he gets some laps in."
2019 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic champion Robbie Farr is also racing on Saturday.
National title holder Brett Milburn, defending champion Michael Tancredi, Mark Caruso, Paul and Chris Solomon, Rusty Hickman and south-west favourite John Vogels are some other headliners in an Australian-dominated field.
"We have some big names and for Aussies this is a big year for us," Rankin said of the field.
"We have had Americans and it would have been even nicer to have them but unfortunately they can't be here this year and that is just the way it is with the current situation.
"We are up to the 35-car mark already and we are still waiting on a few more. We think we can almost get to 40.
Listen to the latest episode of our weekly episode The Booletin and Beyond:
"We are happy with the field and we have got quality cars in guys like Darren Mollenoyux, Grant Anderson and we still got a few more to come.
"Australian champion Brett Milburn, John Vogels and Phil Lock are also in. We have a lot of top teams that are going to be here."
Rankin said ticket sales had been steady but expected the event to sell out to its 1000 COVID-safe limit.
The feature race length is yet to be determined with Rankin confirming it would be either 30 or 35 laps. A and B-mains will run with the possibility of a C-main.
Gates open at 4pm on Saturday with cars on track at 5.30pm.
