The club has concentrated its efforts on the Port Fairy Community House Market, which is held each Saturday morning on Railway Place during January.
A Port Fairy summer tradition, the spinning wheel with crayfish as the prize, has been a popular activity carried out by the Lions club at the market.
The club has also found a new fundraising avenue with members baking and selling scones as part of a Devonshire tea at the market.
Strictly adhering to necessary COVID-19 protocols, members bake and put toppings on the scones in the community house kitchen and then sell them at the market.
They have proved an instant hit, with nine batches selling out at last Saturday morning's market as a big crowd lapped up the treats. No doubt they will be popular again this Saturday.
