Car enthusiasts flock to display at Lake Pertobe in Warrnambool

The south-west's penchant for classic cars was evident on Sunday as thousands of people flocked to Lake Pertobe for a car display.

Young and old perused the lines of muscle cars, vintage cars and everything in between at the Warrnambool and District Historical Vehicle Club event.

It was a bumper day at Lake Pertobe and throughout Warrnambool, with the car display and fresh markets luring plenty of people to the city for the weekend.

One of the vehicles which turned heads was a 1920 Dodge Brothers tourer, which was restored in Terang over two years and is owned by Warrnambool's Murray Murfett. The car display has been held annually for nearly four decades.
