Sergeant Dave Walkley, from Port Fairy police, said the small plane landed at the airstrip and became bogged when the pilot tried to turn the plane around.
He said SES had been called to help recover the plane.
"There's no injuries, no one has been hurt," he said.
"We just need to clear the air strip in case any amergency aircraft need to land."
