Woorndoo's Grant Cameron made 16 fours and 10 sixes on his way to 167 in a South West Cricket division two game.

His boundaries totalled 124 runs, more than three quarters of his knock.

Cameron, 33, also smashed his way to 127 in a twenty20 fixture earlier this season.

The rural fencing contractor, who estimates he's celebrated 10 centuries across his career, said he wanted to embrace his rich vein of form as it "doesn't normally hang around too long".

"The old back is feeling it today," he joked.

"I have old weary legs, can't be bothered running, no footy season (due to COVID-19 restrictions) so I am a bit unfit.

"I am just trying to hit the boundaries more so I don't have to run as much."

The father-of-three played down his efforts, saying the game was played on the small Woorndoo ground.

"They dropped me a few times so luck was on my side a bit," the former SWC division two cricketer of the year said.

"They had a few young lads and once I hit one or two boundaries I got on top of them a bit.

"I felt a bit nasty hitting kids to be honest."

Cameron, who has also played in Western Australia and for fellow Victorian clubs Russells Creek and Purnim, said his teammates enjoyed watching the innings but might have thought he was "greedy for not giving them a bat".

Woorndoo recorded a 180-run win against Mortlake with Cameron taking a catch for good measure.

It now sits atop the division two ladder with six wins, one loss and a draw with one game to play before the Christmas break.
