With Wesley-CBC needing three runs from three balls against West Warrnambool, the youngster stood up.
He went big and you could hear his teammates pleading the ball to "get there, get there" as it rolled towards the Davidson Oval boundary rope.
Then came the euphoric cheer. He'd done it.
"I got a bit lucky, it was a bit of an edge, but it got over."

Owen went to the crease with about three overs to go.
The team needed 17 off 18 balls from the final three.
"I was very nervous," he said.
"Once I got my first ball out of the way and got my first run it was a bit better."
While Owen (seven not out) scored the winning four it was a team effort which got the Beavers over the line.
After a mid-afternoon downpour play was stopped.
The Duckworth Lewis system came into play, meaning the Beavers would chase 95 from 25 overs.
"I thought Higgo bowled really well, all the bowlers bowled really well," Owen said.
"Bev (Bevan Stokie) and Jimmy (Dalton) started really well with the bat and then Dobbo (Ben Dobson) went well and Higgo finished off well."
Although he was dismissed in the final two overs, Joe Higgins (15 runs) was impressive at the death when Wesley-CBC needed runs ticking over.
The Beavers claimed their third one-day victory of the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association division one season.
Captain-coach Ben Dobson was thrilled with his troops.
"It was a fantastic result for all the boys and the club as a whole," he said.
"It was pretty tense (at the end), I'm not a great watcher, I like to be out there in the thick of it.
"In terms of the boys at the end, they did a fantastic job."
The Beavers leader said the exhilarating win was a great reward for his players.
"I'm really proud of the boys, we've played in a couple of close encounters this year, one with Russells Creek earlier in the season under similar circumstances with rain," he said.
"But as a whole, the competition is so even and to get the points today is great reward for all the boys who have been putting in the work through COVID and hard circumstances before the season got going."
Meanwhile, Dennington defeated Nestles.
The Dogs scored 8/122 with Telge Peiris top-scoring with 36.
He also collected 3/14 as Factory could only manage 88.
Woodford's 4/187 - thanks to Luke Wines (53) and Kory Howlett (66 not out) - proved too strong for Port Fairy which made 153. The Eels are top of the table with seven wins overall.
Brierly-Christ Church accounted for Russells Creek with Matt Love (45 not out) and Luke Wilson (41) putting on a strong opening partnership.
Merrivale defeated Allansford-Panmure with Jeremy Burgess (66 not out) leading the charge. Fellow Tiger Wil Fleming was handy with the ball, taking 4/16.
