The Standard believes more than $1 million has been offered by a Hong Kong owner for the Daniel Bowman-trained three-year-old, who is part-owned by numerous Warrnambool identities including Billy Gee and Marcus Norton.
It's understood Ocean Beyond, who won the listed McKenzie Stakes at Moonee Valley on Saturday on the back of a maiden win at Geelong, will be checked by vets early next week after his owners in principle have agreed to the offer.
Bowman refused to confirm the speculation about the promising galloper.
The young Warrnambool trainer purchased Ocean Beyond for $60,000 at the New Zealand Ready To Run Sales last November.
