The company set out to bottle their milk in reusable glass bottles more than a year ago.
Following a sell-out trial of hand-bottled milk at farmers' markets, Schultz crowd-funded to purchase equipment and produce quantities required to retail their milk in the broader Victorian market.
Schulz now delivers 3000 glass bottles of organic milk weekly, to over 50 retailers Victoria-wide, with a return rate of 95 per cent of bottles refilled and reissued.
The initiative has averted 10,068 kilograms of plastic bottles from landfill.
Owner Simon Schulz said he was thrilled by the nomination.
"We are over the moon to find out that we have been announced as one of the 28 finalists in the 2020 Premiers Sustainability Awards," he said.
"We are a finalist in the Innovative Product and Services category for our reusable Schulz milk glass bottles. A huge thank you to all of our supporters and loyal milk-in-glass customers and milk-in-glass retailers out there - we wouldn't be here without you.
"These awards are a fantastic way to raise awareness of and celebrate Victorian groups, organisations, businesses and more who are leading the way to a more sustainable future."
The winners will be announced December 16.
