It's a shift from the 2020 structure which featured 17 and under, 16 and under, 15 and under, 14 and under, 13 and under and 12 and under.
Two HFNL junior rounds were played in 2020 before the season was called off due to coronavirus pandemic concerns.
"Following a recent netball survey where the HFNL asked clubs for feedback on a range of items, the HFNL executive has reached a decision to amend the junior netball age grades for the 2021 season," a HFNL statement said.
The Hampden league has also released which day each grade will play next year.
17 and under, 17 and under reserves, 15 and under and 13 and under will play on Saturday.
15 and under reserves, 13 and under reserves and 11 and under will be on Sunday.
"Feedback was also sought from clubs as to days of play (Saturday or Sunday) for junior netball," the HFNL statement said.
"The HFNL executive considered all feedback, in addition to related uncertainty about any COVID-19 related restrictions and/or guidelines that may be in place in 2021."
