A State Emergency Services media unit spokesman said there were 21 calls out across the south-west in the past 24 hours.
That included five at Colac, four at Dartmoor and three in the Otways with 15 of the 21 calls involving fallen trees.
Statewide there were 189 calls for assistance with Sorento topping the list with 10 calls.
There were also a couple of busy units along the Murray River, mostly to fallen or damaged trees.
"What we are hearing is that Tuesday is the next day for damaging winds, but generally the south-west survived the night pretty well," the spokesman said.
Winds in Warrnambool peaked with gusts of 72km/h at about 4.30am Sunday.
Mount William at Halls Gap had a gust of 87km/h at 5am, Dartmoor up to 63km/h, Hamilton 72, Westmere 67, Mortlake 65, Port Fairy 72, Mount Gellibrand 70 and Cape Otway peaked at just 50km/h.
