The Orchestra will be joined by special guest Emma Wiggle for their 2020 virtual performance 'Musical Playground.'
The event will be streamed online at 6.30pm on Saturday for a selection of music, magic and fun, featuring the orchestra, local budding musicians, children and dancers.
WSO president John MacInnes said it would be unlike any children's concert performed yet by the ensemble.
"In the past we've performed at the Lighthouse Studio which holds 150 people and in recent years we had to do the show twice because we were turning people away.
"The upside about an online concert is there's no limit to how many can watch.
"It's a concert for children of all ages, there's a bit of a child in all of us."
The launch date is Saturday November 28, at 6.30 pm as part of the Very Different Christmas Festival.
