But if you look closer you will see a couple of footnotes.

One of those footnotes shows the $260 million project, which will allow for modern V/Locity style trains to travel on the line, is being funded with a contribution from the Morrison Liberal government.

That contribution is $208 million, leaving the Andrews Labor government to contribute just $52 million - although the budget papers show the actual state contribution is still "TBC".

Daniel Andrews and his Minister Jacinta Allan can claim no credit for this project - if it was up to them alone, there would be nothing happening on this project.

It's the Federal Liberal government that has done all the heavy lifting and has funded the majority of the first stage and is now funding the majority of the second stage. It's important to note the rail line is a state owned and managed asset.

Labor must as a priority confirm it will contribute the $52 million required and then it must stop trying to take all the credit for a project it has a minor stake in.

Bagging Daniel Andrews about the prospect of enforcing a short hard border closure prior to a permit system for border dwellers has well and truly blown up in your face.

This was in response to the South Australian government's action plan of hard lockdown that was conveyed to the rest of the country based on the growing numbers of new COVID-19 cases.

Considering Victoria has had zero new cases and zero new deaths in three weeks I would see the decision of the Andrews Government as responsible.

Of course in your eyes the South Australian Liberal government can do no wrong. Perhaps you can explain how one person's lies to the supposed creme da la creme of contract tracers in South Australia (unlike Victoria's in your view) can shut down a whole state in a couple of days.

It is a total catastrophe for businesses and citizens. As one of your federal government supporters/side kicks says, 'Please Explain?'
