SALES: A Very Different Christmas will run in a market stall fashion along Liebig street with stalls lining the footpaths followed by 'Light up the City' once the sun sets.

MUSIC AND ART: The Port Fairy Spring Music Festival begins with the Kawai Opening Gala: Sunshine with AWO from 5pm and features Members of the Australian World Orchestra and the artwork of Rachel Peters. EXPLORE: Soggy Homes: The Wonder of Wetlands will venture into the microscopic underwater world of Warrnambool's wetland with Dr. Lachlan Farrington, senior ecologist from Nature Glenelg Trust. FITNESS: The Optus Killarney Tri is an open-aged meet with a sprint course of 500-metre swim, 16km bike ride and 4km run, and the short course is a 250m swim, 8km ride and 2km run from 9am. SALES: The last day of A Very Different Christmas ends with the Fresh Market Warrnambool at Lake Pertobe from 8.30am. For your chance to spot Santa, you'll have to look to the skies around the foreshore from 12.40pm.

RACING: The Jericho Cup returns but this year there will be no spectators for the annual event. The feature race on the eight-race program is the $300,000 Jericho Cup to be run through the paddocks on the flat over 4600 metres.

INAUGURAL: The Warrnambool District Cricket Association's senior women's season starts with Brierly Christ Church taking on Nestles at Brierly and West Warrnambool taking on Grassmere at Brauer College.

KART: Warrnambool Kart Club's hosts the Inter Club Spring Challenge featuring racers from Ballarat, Wimmera and the south-west.
