Traffic on Warrnambool's Mortlake Road was temporarily stopped on Sunday after a truck spilled oil onto the road.

A Warrnambool firefighter said a truck spilled oil onto Mortlake Road, near the fire station, about 1pm on Sunday.
"We have popped a bit of absorbent on it and now it is good to go," he said.
"Traffic was stopped momentarily but cars are moving again."
The section of road was closed for about half an hour.
