Chris Lenehan took 4-20 and made 67 atop the order in the Meerkats' eight-wicket win against Wangoom in round four on Saturday.
The Meerkats improved their record to 3-1 due to a "relaxed mode of cricket".
Craig Spikin - Lenehan's partner-in-crime atop the order - said his teammate "had a good day out".
"With his confidence up, he plays pretty good cricket," Spikin, who made 37 runs, said.
Medium pacer Adam Chambers (4-47) stepped up with the ball.
"Braden Hotker didn't bowl because he was late and he's one of our better bowlers, so it was a good even performance," Spikin said.
"Adam got four wickets and he's a local horse trainer and can't get to training and for him to get four was a good effort as well and I reckon we might have dropped a couple of catches that might have got him five."
Hawkesdale maintained its unbeaten streak with David West (59 runs) and Ben Julius (3-6), Louis Sharman (3-18) and Cameron Cutler (3-41) sharing the wickets in the Cats' 61-run win against Killarney.
Chris Wright (4-16) was the pick of the Crabs' bowlers.
Hamish Gleeson (47 runs) and Connor Umbers (3-8) did the damage for Yambuk in its 97-run triumph over Woolsthorpe-Mailors Flat.
Brent Fedley claimed 5-35 for the merged outfit.
