Wesley-CBC and Russells Creek were locked in a see-sawing, rain-affected battle when the Walter Oval watering system came on at 6pm, forcing the game to be abandoned.
Creek co-coach Darren Loft said the game was "in a dicey situation at the time and could have gone either way".
Instead the two teams were awarded three premiership points each.
Russells Creek made 5-111 with Cameron Williams top-scoring with 42.
Wesley-CBC's Ben Dobson (29 not out) and Joe Higgins (15 not out) were at the crease when the sprinklers came on.
The Beavers were 2-66 with limited overs remaining due to the rain interruptions.
Both sides won their respective matches on Saturday - Creek defeated Nestles and Wesley-CBC overcame Port Fairy.
