"I just felt that we had such a great group of girls and we had such a positive pre-season that I didn't want to walk away from that," she said.
"I wanted the opportunity to actually take the court with those girls or coach on the sidelines."

Ellerton is up for playing again but is more keen to promote players to A grade.
The Bulldogs coach couldn't confirm any recruits or departures but will meet with her group soon.
"I've spoken as a collective to my girls from this year and have plans to catch up with them in the next few days," she said.
Panmure, which finished seventh in 2019, looked set for a big 2020 before the season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Former South Rovers A grade coach Jess Rohan joined the club as a playing assistant.
And Lions' midcourter Lisa Pender and goalie Abby Sheehan signed on prior to the season.
Ellerton said the Bulldogs would look to build on what they started early this year.
"We had a very new group for 2020, so it'll just be the same sort of goal (we had), just actually doing it next year," she said.
"That's bringing everyone together, forming new connections on the court."
Ellerton feels the biggest focus is actually getting back playing netball after a year away from the sport.
The Bulldogs mentor said the group would look to do some fitness training prior to Christmas and get stuck into netball skills in the new year.
Panmure, like many netball sides this year, embraced virtual challenges because of the pandemic.
Ellerton said they worked well and she may re-introduce some virtual challenges this pre-season.
President Maree Condon is stoked to have Ellerton remain in charge.
"As a club we're thrilled she's taken it on again," she said.
"She's one of the most experienced netballers in the area."
