President Anthony Dowd said there's been a lot of behind-the-scenes work to bring Saturday's inaugural market to life.
"It's just good to have something happening in the community after everything going on," he said.
"We're trying to improve the facilities around the oval and netball courts and we want to get more people involved with the footy club and the fast-growing community.
"Hopefully over time we'll have the school and kinder involved as we see this as a market that can benefit the whole community."
The Dennington Market will begin at 9am and run until 1pm on The Esplanade across from ProviCo.
Mr Dowd said the market will run every first and third weekend of the month. There will be a wide variety of stalls featured at Saturday's market, some holding their first stalls, including jewellery, art, clothes, confectionery stall and a barbecue.
"We know it's such a fast growing community and we want the community involved with each other," Mr Dowd said.
"There is great infrastructure here and so much happening. The market is really exciting."
