Organisers of Carols by the Merri and Carols on the Green have combined to put together a spectacular virtual show after COVID-19 restrictions forced the cancellation of their popular events.
John Harris, a committee member, said there would be two hosts on the night, with a number of pre-recorded performances and a visit from Santa Claus.
He said there was a lot of excitement about the event.
Warrnambool District Community Carols will be held on Friday, December 18 from 7pm to 9pm.
Prudie Clark, who has helped organise Carols on the Green in past years, said a lot of work was going into making the event a success.
She said there was excitement about the unique event and there would be plenty of opportunities for youngsters to get involved.
"There will be a number of school and community groups involved," she said.
"It's exciting to do something a bit different and it's great we've been able to combine the two events."
The virtual event can be viewed on the FitZ Media Productions Facebook page.
