The Saints have played their opening two rounds on the hard wicket of Victoria Park.
And while their form has been solid, they have nothing to show for it, with a blank space in the wins column.
Both losses have been close calls, with the latest coming last Saturday against West Warrnambool.
Koroit won the toss and got on the front foot by batting first.
At the half-way mark of the 45-over innings, Koroit had worked its way to 54, but with four wickets back in the shed.
Middle order players Thomas and Nick Sinnott had the task of stemming the flow of wickets and accelerating the run rate.
The pair's 58-run partnership helped Koroit to a score of 6-120, with Nick making 27 and Thomas unbeaten on 38.
While the Koroit tally was an improvement on round one, it still looked a touch below par on a hard wicket.
West Warrnambool had a steady start with openers Joe Nyikos and Jonah Bowles putting on 56 for the first wicket.
When Nyikos was the first man out, the game tightened up, with Koroit's bowlers able to put the screws on.
But Panthers captain Mark McLean was to play a cool hand, ensuing his team stayed just ahead of the game. The winning runs came for West Warrnambool in the 43rd over with five wickets down.
Opening batsman Jack O'Sullivan bowled eight overs of leg-spin, finishing with 2-47, while Seamus Brady (2-27) was the other wicket taker.
This Saturday's encounter shapes as an important one for both the Saints and Niranda, with both searching for their opening win of the season.
In division three, Koroit will host the Northern Raiders on Sunday at Victoria Park.
It was a tough day last week with the Saints losing by 10 wickets to Allansford-Panmure Green.
Koroit made 9-85, with Bailen McDonald making 43 and Thomas Heaysman a handy 10 in his first outing for the season.
Allansford-Panmure passed the Koroit total without losing a wicket.
In the under 17s, Koroit will be chasing Allansford-Panmure's 175 when play resumes on day two on Tuesday.
Raymond Trow was the best of the bowlers with a haul of 4-10.
Koroit had a big win in the under 15s last Friday against Wesley-CBC. The Saints posted 2-138, with Dakota Davidson (30) and Finn O'Sullivan (31) starring.
The Saints then had a day out with the ball, bowling the Beavers out for 17. Isaac Doukas finished with the extraordinary figures of 4-1 from his two overs.
Koroit is at home to Brierly-Christ Church Blue tomorrow evening.
In the under 13s, Cohen Laidlaw top scored with 20 and was the only Koroit bowler to grab a wicket in the loss to Merrivale.
