Helen Papaevagelou, who volunteers as the south-west's Regional Team Events Advisory Panel representative, confirmed the thrilling announcement.
"It's going to be a really big event so we're pretty excited to hold it," she said.
It's the fourth time Warrnambool has hosted the three-day event and the first time in 13 years.
Warrnambool previously hosted the event in 1996, 2003 and 2008.

Papaevagelou is also co-owner and coach at Beachside Tennis Academy.
Her role on the advisory panel is to get the word out about Tennis Victoria's Regional Team Events, organise teams and hold tennis selection trials.
The championships cater for 12 and under players through to 35 plus.
They present south-west participants with the opportunity to represent their region.
Players from 11 country regions will converge on WLTC for the tournament.
In the meantime, the club's six-event Junior Tournament Series is under way.
The second round-robin is coming up on November 22.
Papaevagelou said it was a great way to introduce junior players to tournaments.
The experienced coach added the series was created in recent years so juniors didn't have to travel far to attend a tournament.
"Kids from Hamilton and Portland have come to play," she said.
"We're starting to get kids from outside of Warrnambool playing, which is great."
The club is also starting up its Family Fast4 competition again this Sunday at 2pm.
Fast4 is a short-form of tennis.
Sunday's event is designed for parents and children to have a fun hit together.
It's $20 each for a parent-child team and the child must be under the age of 16 and be able to rally and serve full court.
"It's really just about families being able to utilise the facility and create something for them to be part of it," Papaevagelou said.
Participants can book to play in the Fast4 tournament by contacting Beachside Tennis Academy.
