He hadn't played since his under 14 Technique side managed just three matches before its Warrnambool District Hockey Association season came to end because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"I'm really excited hockey is back I've always loved playing hockey," he said.

During the three months since his last match, Alexander has had a few social hits to keep up his skills.
The 14-year-old is looking forward to making new friends at WDHA's open training sessions which will run until December 17.
The 18 and under session is on Wednesdays from 5-6pm while the 18 years plus session is on Thursdays 5.30-6.30pm.
They are open to all players from all clubs, boys and girls.

Alexander's mum Sharyn Stevenson, the WDHA president, is stoked to be able to offer the training sessions.
"I'm jumping for joy, literally," she said.
"We got permission from the council which is what we needed more than anything to get out here.
"And the simple fact is the restrictions seem to be easing that bit more so it's easier to get out and have a hit."
Outdoor contact and non-contact sport is allowed for people 18 years and under according to the state government's restrictions.
Outdoor non-contact sport is permitted for adults. Non-contact means must participants must be able to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres.
"Pretty much any training drill without tackling is allowed," Sharyn said of the adult session.
The president explained she felt it important to invite players from all clubs.
"We thought it was better to open it to everyone rather than have a specific club train on a specific night, to try and boost the numbers," she said.
