Club president and division one player Jack Smits summed up the mood.

"We're thrilled to have everybody back on the greens," the Port Fairy Gold player said.

"It's been a long wait and everybody is keen to go and we're very pleased we've been able to at least get this far with our pennant."

Smits explained the club had been able to hold its Perrett Trophy, Thelma Jewell pairs and championship triples in the past four weeks.

He said Port Fairy had welcomed a host of new players to midweek pennant including Elwyn and Don Jasper, Wendy Arnold and Rhea Watts.

There was plenty happening on Tuesday with Port Fairy's clubrooms undergoing redevelopment.

"We've been fortunate enough to get a $2 million grant from the government and it's been a lengthy process in actually trying to get the building work and everything finalised," Smits said.

"There's been a demolition of course and then a redevelopment of the site, they're moving along quite smartly now.

"We're looking to be in by the end of November."

It's being developed by the Moyne Shire Council and the bowls club in partnership with the state government.

Smits said the club's carpark is also getting redeveloped.

Port Fairy Gold got its first win on the board with a 67-60 shot victory against Terang Gold in division one.

In the division's other games, Timboon Maroon claimed a 65-56 shot win over City Memorial Green at Timboon.

Warrnambool Gold defeated Koroit Orange 63-56 at home.

Warrnambool Blue got the job done against Mortlake Blue with a 70-51 shot win at Mortlake.

City Gold beat Dennington Dolphins 67-50.
