Moyne's business recovery team has released its latest campaign to help stimulate the shire's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Love Local campaign is aimed at building on council's ongoing messaging of Looking Out For Moyne.
Moyne residents are being encouraged to shop in the shire, with the rewards including entry into a number of competitions.
From October 30, shoppers who spend $20 or more at a Moyne-based business can enter a draw from which five people will win vouchers valued at $100.
Draws for these vouchers will be held on November 6, 13 and 20. A grand finale draw, four draws of $250, will be held on November 27.
Moyne Shire CEO Bill Millard said shopping at local businesses could help keep their doors open.
"Choosing to buy from a local business can make all the difference, especially now when so many businesses are doing it tough because of the Coronavirus pandemic," Mr Millard said.
"Moyne's small businesses need our local community to back them now more than ever.
"We want every one of our local businesses to be there on the other side of this crisis. Now is the time to be out there supporting our local suppliers, accountants, retailers, tradies, restaurants and cafes.
"The campaign will actively promote shopping at local businesses through a marketing campaign while local businesses are also encouraged to get on board by displaying the 'Love Local' logo, with stickers and posters being distributed by council."
Port Fairy and District Community Bank has provided council sponsorship to help make the shopping vouchers available.
Shoppers who spend $20 or more at a Moyne Shire business can enter by submitting a copy of their receipt at www.moyne.vic.gov.au/LoveLocal, accompanied by their contact details.
Receipts can also be dropped off at the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre, Koroit Newsagency, Port Fairy and District Community Bank and council offices.
