Bailey Jenkinson, who played three matches for the Eels this past season, has committed for the entire summer.

The former Geelong talent, who spent the majority of his Victorian Premier Cricket stint in the club's thirds, is expected to bolster the Eels' top order.

Woodford skipper Nick Butters said the 19-year-old was a key inclusion as the club vies to secure its fourth premiership in 10 years.

"(Bailey) has been looking good in the nets. He'll be a big inclusion for us," he said.

"He's a talented player. It'll be good to have him for the season."

Butters hoped both Adam and Luke Wines would be available early in the campaign after Hampden league football was cancelled in June.

"Hopefully they'll be there to start the season as they're normally coming in a bit underdone after Christmas," he said.

Excluding the departures of first-change bowler Tyler Fowler, who is bound for West Warrnambool, and all-rounder Alex Jennings, who has moved to captain Port Fairy, Butters said Woodford's squad would take similar shape to this past season.

"One of the big things has just been getting out of the house and getting to training," he said.

"With a lot of us being the same age it's just good to get together again and back at cricket."
