Detective Senior Constable Richard Hughes, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said a silver 2015 Aldi A3 sedan (registration plates AEZ 604) was stolen from a property in Cobden's Menzies Street.
He said the theft occurred between 6.30pm on September 19 and 11.30am on September 20.
"It may or may not be related to a series of crimes recently committed in Terang, Camperdown, Cobden and Warrnambool," the detective said.
"The vehicle remains outstanding and we are asking the community to keep a lookout."
Detective Senior Constable Hughes said the female owner of the vehicle was "severely inconvenienced without it".
"She really wants her car back," he said.
Earlier this week, opportunistic thieves stole a motor vehicle with the keys left in the ignition and other items from inside cars during a crime spree at Terang on Monday.
Police also received reports of a white 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser (registration UYU211) stolen from a property in Warrnambool's Wollaston Road on Tuesday.
Anyone with information is urged to call 000 or Crime Stoppers.
