Lynn Hudson decided to put her hand up as a candidate in the Warrnambool City Council because she was concerned about its lack of transparency and accountable decision making in some areas.

She said residents deserved the best level of governance and community representation.
"We need councillors capable of delivering policies, planning, financial records and strategic planning that is truly representative, coherent, transparent and accountable."
Ms Hudson has operated a successful legal practice for many years, has been a legal consultant on a royal commission, a supreme court register, a member of the ethics committee for a major private hospital, a member of the Veterans Review Board and a lawyer for the Australian Army.
However, she is now retired.
"I understand and observe ethical behaviour in all that I do," Ms Hudson said.
'I can smell a rat from a mile away. I am truly independent. If elected I promise to ensure your rates are spent prudently."
Ms Hudson said was skilled in high level mediation and was committed to using council time productively.
"My work history to date has provided me with high level relevant skills which I can harness so as to offer residents and ratepayers good governance, ethical and transparent processes, unbiased clear tender processes, sensible spending decisions and provide value for your money," she said.
